Confirmation

In the Newark Archdiocese, there is no set age for a child to receive Confirmation. At Saint Anne Parish, currently, our Parish Youth engages in Confirmation Preparation in their 8th-grade year and are confirmed in the late spring of 8th grade.

The Confirmation program involves a Works of Mercy Project, an Advocate Project,  prayer experiences, several Sunday night sessions, and attend the Sunday 6 pm Mass together during the school year. A child must have attended 7 consecutive years of Catholic Faith Formation or Catholic grammar school prior to enrolling in the Confirmation Preparation Program.
