St. Ann's Council was founded in 1942 through the efforts of the parishioners of St. Anne's Church. St. Ann's Council works closely with three area parishes:
St. Anne's in Fairlawn, St. Leo's in Elmwood Park and St. Catherine's in Glen Rock; providing funds for various projects, members being active participants in their parishes, etc.
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic, Family, Fraternal, Service Organization and is regarded by many as the right arm of the church. As a non-profit organization, we continue to do charitable work in 5 program areas: Church, Community, Youth, Family and within our Council.
Some of the activities we have been running in the past few years are our, 8th grade scholarship essay contest, our basketball free-throw, you may have seen some of the knights during the parish carnival last weekend and we have added a substance abuse poster contest.
Some of us are lectors, ushers, Eucharistic ministers and members of the Holy Name Society. In our communities we march in parades, cook burgers, volunteer at food banks, blood drives and the list really does go on.
If you believe in the importance of investing your time for this church and helping others, the Knights of Columbus are waiting to hear from you.
Although membership in the Knights is restricted to Catholic men over the age of 18, above all, we are a Family oriented Service Organization.
Regular business meetings are held bi-monthly on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. Officer meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month. Starting times for all meetings is 8PM unless otherwise noted.
Our hall can accommodate up to 250 guests and is available to parishioners for a modest rental fee.
